A message from Dr Hemp ...

Dear friends,

It’s been 7 years since Caned In Totnes first appeared in cyber space, as a useful resource for stoners throughout the world to find information about cannabis and other wonderful psychedelic herbs and plants.

The web site evolved in HTML with hundreds of pages with pics and information about our favourite subjects, sex, drugs and rock and roll. With some very fine rankings on Google and being voted into Yahooka’s Hall of Fame as one of the 20 best cannabis web sites on the Internet, Caned In Totnes, became famous throughout the world, receiving thousands of hits every week.

In this time, together with Dr Hump, our agony advice pages proved a huge hit, with hundreds of questions being asked every week, of which, we offered expert advice in the field of sex and drugs.

Over this time, the site continued to grow, and although we took too many mushrooms back in the shroom boom, that meant we were unable to continue to update the site anymore, the site still continued to receive a huge number of visits every day, which is why we have decided to revamp and relaunch Caned In Totnes.

Well times have changed since the early years of the New Millennium, gone are the days of static HTML pages, and we’ve moved over to Joomla Content Management System, which means our site will be much easier to navigate, and more importantly, much easier for us to update it.

We will also be adding a Caned In Totnes web forum, which I’m sure some of the regular visitors to our old Guestbook will love, and we hope will be a useful source for discussion about drugs and alternative culture, and unlike some other supposed alternative anti-Establishment forums, swearing, rudeness and having a go at the Government will be positively encouraged.

I am pleased to say that Dr Hump and I are going to reopen our Internet advice surgery, so there’s no need to read the Government sponsored lies and bullshit on Talk To Frank, when you can come to Caned In Totnes for real and truthful advice.

Also, Dave, up in Scotland is drawing some more fine cartoons for us, so we look forward to seeing those. So please bookmark us and come back again soon!
