This is the first of a few blogs on what is happening behind the scenes with the Caned in Totnes site. 

 Sooooo, what happened with the downtime last Saturday a few of you might have noticed?  Yes, the Webguy messed up and managed to can the site for a few hours.  All was not lost and the most recent backup was restored with no data loss.

To prevent this kind of thing happening again we have a brand new development server (the old one was a beige box - need I say more...) with a  more exactly matched environment to our server plan.

Work on the forum is progressing, we are looking for a solution which can be nicely integrated with the site template and isn't full of stuff that nobody uses  We are totally open to your suggestions so feel free to drop a mail to webguy at canedintotnes.co.uk.
