Wasted Comic - for today's youth gone wild! PDF Print E-mail

Wasted is a brand new alternative humour comic from Scotland for today's youth gone wild.

2000 AD veteran Alan Grant and All Star Superman colourist Jamie Grant spearhead Scotland's latest 'herbal-hobby' themed alternative comic.

"It may not be superheroes, but it's fucking funny, if I say so myself," proclaimed Alan Grant, when telling Caned In Totnes about Wasted, the new A4 comic he is launching in conjunction with Jamie (no relation) Grant. ImagePublished, initially quarterly, by Scotland's Bad Press, the £3.25 52-pager is a successor to Northern Lightz and Electronic Soup. These, as Alan Grant explained "were both alternative comics which never had a realistic hope of breaking into the mainstream. But they paved the way for Wasted, an alternative comic that is also extremely commercially viable.

"There are an estimated 350 million regular dope smokers in the world - it is our mission statement to see each and everyone of them get Wasted every three months," he stated, adding that the estimate was from "some stoned guy on the Internet".

As well as hilarious comic stips, Wasted features a problem page from our very own Caned In Totnes Agony Uncle, Dr Hemp.

Wasted contains 64 pages of mishaps and mayhem in full glossy colour due to be launched in October 2008, however, if you cannot wait until this and want to be the first to get hold of a copy of Wasted, there are copies exclusively available for sale on Pot Seeds.

The Observer, 16 Nov 2008 - From herbal joints to pills for ex-ravers, 'legal highs' are big business. Classed as medicines, they are regulated in theory, but how law-abiding are they, asks Oliver Marre About six months ago, at a Brighton seafront nightclub, a 28-year-old man was found by the bouncers to have three small white pills, each stamped with the image of a dove, in his pocket. Naturally, they turned him away, refusing to listen to his arguments, and warning him that he was lucky they had not called the police.
