Stoners throughout the country officially labelled Alan Johnson an asshole following his decision to sack his drugs advisor, Prof David Nutt, for telling the truth about cannabis.

Prof Nutt, chairman of the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs, was sacked after using a lecture to say that cannabis was less harmful than alcohol and tobacco.

Prof Nutt simply said what millions of cannabis users knew already, but was unacceptable to Mr Johnson whose drugs policy relies solely on lies, scaremongering and misinformation.

Cannabis Guru, Dr Hemp, also condemned the Home Secretary’s decision an "outrage, although not surprising, as Labour Ministers having a proven track record of lying about the dangers of cannabis, so why should this asshole be any different?”

“I suppose Prof Nutt can think himself lucky he was only sacked and not bumped off, which is what they did to Dr David Kelly, the last scientist who dared speak the truth rather than lie on behalf of the Government about weapons of mass destruction to start illegal wars.”

The decision will come as particular blow to medicinal users of marijuana who are denied from using the only treatment that alleviates their pain and suffering. At a time when the USA is moving towards legalisation of cannabis, medical users were hoping some of the UK’s dinosaur politicians might finally have some compassion by allowing the medicinal  use of marijuana in Britain. Sadly they have been let down!

“The Government are more interested in protecting the profits of big pharmaceutical companies than they are helping people who are sick,” said Dr Hemp. “Fuck them, I’m going to roll up a big phatty anyway. At the end of the day, at least I’m not a War Criminal, which is more than I can say for the Government Ministers responsible for the illegal invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq.”
