There don't seem to be as many as back in the old days. I heard the Police are more nasty about shutting them down, well I suppose that goes with the territory, given our Government is turning the country into a Police State.

I remember 7 or 8 years ago you'd be hard pushed not to find out about a free party happening on a Friday or Saturday night, sometimes you had a choice of more than one depending on how adventurous you felt.
They still happen, but not as much and the people who are putting them on are being very discreet, so they don't get caught.

I'm usually in the pub on a weekend night if I ever hear of them, so PM-ing you would be a bit of a problem.
It is completely unheard of to hear of anything until the night it's happening and as for locations, well, naturally they are kept very quiet and extremely vague.
I have a few sound system buddies, so I'll ask them what's happening over the summer months.

yeah i reckon if you hear of any parties it will be on the night of and not much in advance. i hardly hear of any in recent years either. newcastle seems a long way to go though for a legal one, though ; )

One of the sound systems I know tend to do private gigs these days, at least they can still have a laugh with less risk of losing all their gear.

Since the smoking ban it's difficult to discreetly have a joint indoors. But pills and acid are easy.
Newcastle may seem along way away but it's what an hour and a half on a lowcost flight plus £15 a ticket or £50 including accomodation it actually starts to sound pretty good.

UK: Swansea Crown Court Hears How Pembroke Dock Cannabis
Western Telegraph, 12 Jul 2010 - A Pembroke Dock man who has campaigned for the legalisation of cannabis for medical purposes for the last 15 years has turned over a new leaf, a judge heard on Friday. Eric Mann, a retired oil refinery supervisor, served two prison sentences while taking on the government in a bid for those suffering chronic pain to be allowed to take cannabis for pain relief.
