Nice People Take Drugs in the West Country 10 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Are you fed up of hearing that drugs are bad and therefore the people that take them are bad too?

You are? Well so are we!

We want to prove the point that Nice People DO Take Drugs!! To do this we need your help. We want to support the Nice People Take Drugs Campaign (www.release.org.uk/nice-people-take-drugs) by taking a photo of people holding up placards spelling out the statement ‘Nice People Take Drugs’.

We will do this on Saturday 19th September 2009 in the recreation ground next to Bath Rugby Club. We want to highlight our concern at the sacking of Bath rugby p_layer_s for using drugs or refusing to have drug tests. We want our rugby p_layer_s to play well, we don’t care whether they use drugs or not. We think Bath Rugby Club are being hypocritical telling us that drugs are bad when heavy drinking is so much part of rugby culture.

This event will have press coverage and a TV crew will be filming the event so we really do need as many people as we can to turn up. We would look really stupid if only three people were standing behind the banner when the press turned up. Please help us show the media and Bath Rugby Club that Nice People Take Drugs in the West Country.

We want people who take drugs, their friends and family members to turn up to support this photo opportunity. Please help us make this event a success by spreading the word.

We have advised Avon and Somerset Police about the event and they are happy for us to meet and take the photo. However, be aware that drugs are still illegal and they will have to take action if they see people taking drugs so be sensible. We don’t want people being arrested to become the story of the day.

Meet up on Saturday 19th September 2009 at 1 p.m. at the Boater Pub, Garden Bar, in Argyle Street in Bath. We will go across together to take the photo.

There will be a coach coming from Warminster to Trowbridge to Bradford-on-Avon to Bath. Cost of coach £1. Let Respect know ASAP if you want a seat.

By being in this photo you are saying that you support the statement that Nice People Take Drugs. You are not saying that you use drugs.
