the governments potency test on sensi, imported and resin (soabar) coincidently sponsered by GW pharmecuticals has found that imported resin which most is cut down so much of course theres barely any THC, isn't as strong as cannabis grown without males.

Now first of all they found that the average potency of seedless cannabis was 15% THC and had almost no CBD whereas seedy imported cannabis was around %8 THC and had %3 CBD.

Now how is this test completely flawed, well for a start the sensi is locally grown hence very fresh, these samples were siezed from cannabis farms, so it's fairly safe to say that they were cut down before harvest time.

Normally a commercial grower will leave the plants longer than the home grower because they bulk up a lot, what the also do in the last few weeks is starting to break the THC down into CBD, CBN etc so it gives a more knockout high than an uplifting one. so basically if the plant is cut earlier the concentration of other cannabinoids compared to THC is a lot lower.

Now imported cannabis generally comes a long way so it is not fresh, it has generally been dried out in the sun which will also break down the THC into other cannabinoids, it has then been compressed and transported a long way.

If you were to grow non hybridised seeds without males in a country closer to the equator you would get far more resin on the plants than could ever be achieved with a grow light.

And anyway is it not better people smoke stronger cannabis I know if I ever bought seedy compressed bud I would smoke twice as much of it because the effects are about half of sensi.

I watched a program and howard marks said something very sensible that is just another point as to why the governments studies are such bollocks. "If the weed is twice as strong you put half as much in a spliff"

Also I should of pointed out this is only a study on samples collected in the 90's. And from what I hear there was a lot of crap hash in the 90's to 2008. Also I get the feeling the police have taken a while to work out people are growing huge amounts indoors under lights. So even though the siezures of sensi have gone up the actual amount is probably similar to what it was ten years ago.
