The readers comments clearly show how hated this Government is and how virtually nobody supports Labour's planned Big Brother Data_base_ .... but will people take to the streets to stop it? They bloody well should!

Sadly, I doubt the majority of the UK population cares or even knows about the effect the Patriot Act has had on the US, which is what this proposed legislation is comparable to.

They don't just use terrorism as reasons to coerce the sheep into accepting the the removal of their civil liberties, they create terrorism in the form of false flag terrorism, as indeed was the case with 9/11 and 7/7.

I saw Steen the other day introduce Michael Meacher MP at Dartington Hall, he left half way through to go to Moscow. Meacher did genuinely seem concerned about the actions of his government and publicly stated that the War on Terror had been orchestrated by western governments. In private, after that he even went one step further by agreeing that 9/11 and 7/7 were inside jobs.

I wonder if those goons in power ever read any of those comments that are published on The Times' web site (and others)? What is clear is that this Government is hated by a lot of people.

Yes, I attended the Meacher at Dartington as well.
I also thought WTF is up with those stupid specs Steen was wearing? It was like he was purposely trying to distract people from listening to what Meacher had to say in reply to Steen's speech, obviously because a lot of it criticised Steen's pro-war stance.
