This study tells us what us Magic Mushroom users have known for a long time. Still it's nice to see it officially recognised in a formal study.
Of course, the mystical qualities of Magic Mushrooms will be one of the main reasons our politicians hate them so much, as they don't want to allow anything that could enlighten the population they wish to enslave.

The Health Minister has stated he wants to ban Magic Mushrooms in Holland, following a few high profile instances of foreigners taking mushrooms (together with pot and alcohol, but this is not mentioned, particularly the later) falling into the canals of Amsterdam.
They are awaiting reports, but it's likely they will be banned, but there's still a small possibility they will just be regulated more. However, it's unlikely they will make them Class A (same as heroin) as they did in the UK, but it will just be forbidden for the smart shops to sell them. Small amounts for personal possession will be allowed and small penalties for large amounts. Basically they will drive the trade underground, but we don't know for sure what will happen for a few months. Certainly the Smart Shops were still selling shrooms in Amsterdam when I was there last weekend.
Evening Express, 05 Jan 2009 - Ministers reiterated their opposition to downgrading ecstasy today amid claims Government advisers will recommend it be made a class B drug. The Advisory Council for the Misuse of Drugs could urge Home Secretary Jacqui Smith to move the dance drug from class A when it reports later this month.
