You should be able to go to 12/12 without any probs mate, at this tender young age sex may not show for 5 - 14 days. The plant will stretch a bit in this short space of time so be ready for it. If you are using an enviro light then keep it about 3 - 4 inches from the plant top, but watch it doesnt stretch into the light and fry.

Yep - that's what I would do.

I guess you will probably want to flower all of crop #1 and think about a mother plant later, but, you might start thinking about crop #2 soon.

If you are going to buy seeds for the next crop, buy some feminized ones, then you don't have to worry about males. They are a few quid extra but well worth it IMHO. Then you don't have to sex the mothers at all and once you have selected a good plant you can just clone it over and over.

taking some cuttings doing a sog or scrog cant remember which is which taking all the small cutting straight to bud under a 200w enviro red leaving the others in veg then bud the mothers under the red spectrum or im thinking about switching to an hps 250 the plants are coming on amazingly i can see them growing checking every 3-4 hours huge fan leaf the size of my hand

Sounds good mate, its amazing how fast those babies grow.
If you decide to upgrade to 250 hps remember that you will have to get soem ventilation, like a 4 inch extraction fan (£40 I think). Even though its only 250 watts, it still gets hot hot hot. BUT your plants will love it.
What the Webguy says about Feminised seeds is also good sound advice, feminised/female seeds have come on leaps and bounds in the past 5 years. They used to have Hermie probs but not so much now, they are a good investment.
