p.s. Go for the 400 watt son-t(74.99), it'll be well worth it,(yield- the rule is 50w per sq foot so if you have 8 ft sq it will be perfect). i will mightily suggest you use mylar(called heat defense or something like that at starlite). it is very reflective and also stops the pigs from being able to see the heat from your grow.
surely though when the ladies are fully mature theres going to be no miracle gro left in the plant i mean fuckit now ive got it mixed it with some perlite.
my seeds came today so ive stuck them in wet cotton wool in a dvd case under my freeview box (a constant sorce of heat)

wait is miracle grow your soil? or your nutrient? sure thats who the pigs find it easiest to catch, but you want to make it so there's no possibility that you will get caught otherwise its false economy- you'd lose all your plants, lights and equipment, and probably a hefty fine/jail. personally i get pig helicopters hovering near my house about once a week.

Miracle grow in the soil aint great but if thats all ya got then thats all ya got. Ive grown with enviros before (200watts) and had reasonable results, their is a lot less heat from these babies so less air exchange is needed. No ballast is required with an enviro as they are built in. The Miracle grow in the soil should be pretty much deplteted by the time youve cropped, try and use pots that aint too huge (7 -8 litre). As stated earlier if you can get Tomato feed then get it, along with some J Arthur Bowers Multi purpose compost with added John Innes, you can also use Westlands (both from garden Centres for about £3.99) When you are growing, veg for about 2 weeks then switch to 12/12. DO NOT feed the plants until about day 10 12/12 as their is enough nutrient in the soil to get it tis far, then feed about half the stated dose on the back of the bottle. ie - if it says use 2ml per litre then use 1ml per litre. Raise the feed slightlty each week until you reach week 7-8 12/12 then use only water for the remaining week or two (could be more if you pick longer flowering strains). Good luck mate, stick with it, its worth it in the end, trust me. Sticky.

10 plants in a cupboard? That's one big ass cupboard....

Don't know exactly this blend but I have had really good results with blends that use added John Innes.
webguy- its H202(hydrogen peroxide), pretty phunky stuff, i've never used it because it seems wrong adding bleach to plants.
Yep - that's the one - cheers! I always used in in the past and had no problems - when you think about it, it's water (H20) with an extra oxygen molecule (H2O2)

Hmm - so it's just a bulb and reflector & ballast?
It looks ok to be honest - the things you are losing out on are:
1) The glass plate - this acts as a heat shield so you can put the lights very near the plants
2) The _meta_l casing around the light - helps with anchoring it and also with heat extraction (it as a hole to funnel the heat straight out with an extractor fan)
EDIT: Ack posted this to the wrong thread but you know what I mean....
