local myth proved wronge! 3 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 3
if it interests anyone ive done a couple of exsperiments on a myth i keep getting when i ask for a cutting? thats is, soz mate too far into flo. CRAP! i did two tests first when i was pruningin week one, some of the waste i put in the soil and let c what happens? 1 of 4 grew and produced about a 8th the others lived under the canopy and just rooted and flowered as expected. week before the finish of flower i took one of these cutts that had just flo'd and put it back into grow from 600w to 20w and yea! its back on flo all grown up. it took longer than the rest of the cutts to sort its self out but it did and is coming in to a very! bushy shrub-not much height. but this was expected as i take cutting a week or two in to flo usally.

And second was that i took 5 cutting from the bottom of the plant the day i was cuttin down(the not much use buds in the heart of the plant), i also left silly 8inch long stems on to c what happened if they did root?
4 died straight away but one still in its small root cube has made it roots pooring out new growth out the top. I want to flo it to c what happens but im kind of sick of the taste now and going the doc H way of thinking with verierty.

I would offer to send photos but my phone wont download pics for some reason so trying to locate my old one.

Does this help anyone? useless exsperiment no138.:_b_link__:

When ive asked for cuttings off people, and ive been told that (example) there on week 4 or 5 of flower, no point taking a cutting it will die etc.. I would have to wait till next crop round and get one earlier into gro.
if that explains alittle better.
I dont know if this is just a local myth to my area of growers
(or they could just be tryin to be gits)!
thats why i post the thread, c what others know?
to learn is it ask and find out!

well a cutting isn't going to yield much anyway really is it?
the plant needs to mature, there's no point in trying to do that during flowering, i agree.
sorry i just couldn't understand what you were asking from the original posting, that's what this forum is for, definitely : )
happy tomato-growing x

the cutting yield is not the q? the cutting taken (from the main plant)thats at the end of flo,(bud n everything on). then put into soil and back onto gro, will grow out into new bushy veging plant, to then be put back into flo what ever (4 week) latter.
when i get my phone workin i will post pic for the thread.
c ya tomato lover x

i've heard of people who only use flowering clones. supposed to have more vigor and strength because your fucking with their natural cycle. don't know much about it though, read plenty on grasscity but have long forgotten. check it out.

The Observer, 16 Nov 2008 - From herbal joints to pills for ex-ravers, 'legal highs' are big business. Classed as medicines, they are regulated in theory, but how law-abiding are they, asks Oliver Marre About six months ago, at a Brighton seafront nightclub, a 28-year-old man was found by the bouncers to have three small white pills, each stamped with the image of a dove, in his pocket. Naturally, they turned him away, refusing to listen to his arguments, and warning him that he was lucky they had not called the police.
