There are loads, but some of them can be dangerous.
This book is the bible of psychoactive plants http://www.potsee...sc.html#BKM00002. Of course the Liberty Cap shroom is probably the most famous and enjoyable of the psychoactive plants to be found on these isles, and I would encourage everyone to use these plants, despite the fact they were made Class A drugs by our Nazi Government a few years ago.
I was thinking of finding a nice day and just getting into touch with nature and find some nice psychedelics.
I remember my friends ex boyfriend once went shrooming on his bike she was getting really worried because he was gone for about 3 days he ate about 500 liberty caps and took a wrong road.
Btw what are the best wild psychoactive datura i'm steering well clear of. And I'm ok for shrooms i might order a copy of that book as i love reading about hallucinagenic plants.

I love my shrooms and have done for 16 years althouth f**kin gov screwed that one (to an point) I dont do liberty caps no more (they taste like farmyard) I like to look at tropical spores under the microscope, its just sometimes a bit falls on to a cake at the side of it and would u believe it 6 weeks latter i have these funny lookin things grown there. (no point wasting them) but flyagaric is still legal. (but not for human consumption). but im sure u to will have a microscope to look at these fine plants. hehe

that's precisely what i plan on doing, too : ) been reading up as well, too. paul stamets' identification guide for p. mushrooms of the world is what i've recently just finished reading. i feel a lot more confident about what i'd be looking for and how to test to make sure they're safe, too. but i may very well have to buy that book DH _link_ed as well (when i'm more flush) because i too love reading up on the subject. i'd also recommend a good field guide anyway so that when you read these books about magic m's specifically, you can look up the ones that they keep talking about that are confused for the one's you'd be seeking. it's just a good idea anyway, i reckon.
today is a nice sunny day after a lot of rain, might not be a bad idea to have a look and see what's out there.. !
I dont do much reading. I do more trying, i want to know there not too poisionous (every drug is) and how much is too much! Ive had alot af shrooms over the time had a couple that was something special, but been a kid never paid attension to there type, but at the mo im considering doin a mission through the veriertys and finding them, (got another 30 years worth of fun till i plan to stop!) so could do with knowing the best ones, its just what to do with the spares? been as i cant dry them?
probably to avoid any that don't do a spore test with purple-brown to black spore colour.
spore test is easy, just put the cap on a piece of clean paper and put a small glass tumbler over it for 2-3 hours. keep it sealed up in a cool dry place and you can reuse it to do more research in the future ; )
reading is important though, you're a lot less likely to make a mistake if you know more about all mushrooms and what features and environment distinguish the ones you're looking for (for research of course).
drying - should take no longer than 2 days (or they'll go mouldy), not in direct sunlight, not in high heat. i've used my oven on it's lowest setting with the door open slightly but kept on eye on it regularly checking, i can't remember how long that took, but probably an hour or so.
haha, yes, it's a bit mad out there with flies and now wasps and all sorts. for me the main problem has been spider webs out in the woods, they keep spinning between trees and shrubs and by the time i've realised that i've stepped into one it's too late : P must remember to use a walking stick and poke around with that first before proceeding forward!
extra protein ; ) i only picked one mushroom that had inhabitants, i keep a brush on me now so i inspect them first before they come home, saves a lot of wasted effort and keeps my shrooms a bit cleaner as it's more difficult to get dirt off later once it's dried on.
