hello dr hemp and members...dr hemp i am growing one of ur strains..blueberry x powerplant..im a week away frm cutting it and am very excited..i really dnt knw wot to expect frm this strain as i have never smoked powerplant..its really starting to smell fruity now..lots of hairs too!! can u tell me what this strain is like once dryed and cured..it looks very promising..ive attached some pics..is it it ready to be cut next week?

Very nice, i believe i am growing this strain next (when the seeds come) and bubblegum x ak47. Unless i only get one type depends how many won on the seed comp.

thanks...do you know anybody else on here who has grown this strain? And do you think it looks ready to harvest in a week or maybe 2? its really hairy some 75% of hairs gone orange..and the buds are thick and spongy kinda..

They look fairly far on to me but my rule of thumb is - when I think they are ready - leave them another week.

Also - they still look very green - remember you have to leech them before harvesting. Depending on what substrate you are using this could take from a couple of days to a couple of weeks.

They look nice though - betcha can't wait to get your hands on them

leech? is that the same as flushing? i usually only water with cheapy spring water for the last week and a half, most leaves die off and bud is chem free. if your using organic nutes like bio bizz they say you don't have to flush.

Talking of substrate, anyone ever tried growing in hempy buckets? its tempting, would be great for scrog. if you don't know what it is: big bucket with a hole about 2 inches above the bottom (so it has a reservoir) filled with substrate('sposed to be perlite and vermiculite but heard coco is much better) and you top up the bucket everyday with nute solution and there you have it, very cheap and effective hydroponics. i'd want to add an air stone so the water is oxygenated.

I gave water for the the last week i thought at first i was killing them somehow when all the shade leaves died.

naa, thats the good shit, using up nute salt deposits in the leaves.

so what was the final thoughts? im eyeing it up as one of my next, ive had blueberry many times before and even crap growers can make a nice smoke from it, and power plant ive had a couple of times although got a cutting going now and the mother left me feeling brused battered and gaging for more. so the two together same as the bubble gun seems like a match made in amsterdam!

i have no idea but i'm looking forward to the day when i whack out the first cured buds!(whack out definition- go to amsterdam and purchase some)
